Enrich your life darling!

This has been a week FULL of God's blessings. I strive to live life and not just make it through. That is why I take risks for our Heavenly Father, instead of just waiting for things to happen. I have been working on a business plan and presentation for a high fashion Christian clothing company that I want to start after graduation for a few months now and Tuesday night was PLNU's Entrepreneurial Enrichment Program Exposition Night. I got the chance to talk about my vision for this business and meet mentors that will help my make my dream a reality! This was a really nerve racking process but I felt so confident in Gods grace and peace and that the work I was doing was His. I was amazed at the positive feedback I received and continue to receive for this business idea. I actually have a blog dedicated to Clothe the Naked, which is what I plan on naming my company, check it out here! http://clothethenakedkb.blogspot.com

My supervisor at work showed me an amazing new magazine the other day called Darling, and I think it has changed my life. It is comprised up of everything I love, and a lot of what this blog is about! It is a magazine displaying the art of women, it has beautiful photography, and articles that range from modest fashion, to cooking, to advice. There is something for everyone, and I really think that this magazine will bring back the class women are called to poses and allow all women to see the beautiful gifts that they are. PLEASE  check it out online and order it if you are interested!

Guimel and Victoria @Flood Church
These sister always look great and have been gifted with the height of supermodels. I really appreciate Victoria's shocking pink pants. These style of cotton lounge pants are making a comeback! They are comfortable and cool.

Jenora scored these adorable high waisted shorts at a second hand store! That is what I call a true shopper. They are definitely the focal point of this outfit and are such a great length! The thin braided belt is the perfect element to separate the blouse from the bottoms.

Proverbs 31:25
"She is clothed in strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."

I snuck this picture of my beautiful roommate Keeley in our dorm room :) She is wearing a tribal knitted sweater that she has layered over a neutral tank top.

Rosealie is never without an element of chic. She is wearing an azul sleeveless top with a peplum (lower part of blouse that flares out). This blouse cinches at the natural waist which is a very flattering silhouette on all body types.

*When wearing a top with a peplum or any excess amount of fabric at the hips it is important that you wear tailored or form fitting bottoms. Rosalie's pants work perfect here as would a pencil skirt.

As if you weren't already completely in love with the front of this blouse, the back was constructed with a very appropriate cut out and tie. This adds interest and a unique fashion forward element to the blouse.

Courteney has improved upon an already gorgeous floral dress! She layered this look with a sleeveless cardigan and then belted it all at the waist to create her desired silhouette. Great Job Courters!

* If you love dresses like I do but don't think they are fall appropriate think again! Layering summer dresses like this one with sweaters, tights, scarves, and boots creates a beautiful fall look.

This was my presentation board for my EEP (Entrepreneurial Enrichment Project) this week.

Shadwa is exemplifying the POP of color technique here. She has taken a lace textured tank, tucked it into a high waisted black skirt and added the turquoise necklace as the focal point. It is am amazingly classy outfit that would stand by itself perfectly but that necklace completes the look!

The front and back cover of Darling magazine

An article in Darling magazine. This is an amazing excerpt from this article...

Modesty is a word that is often cast aside in our society, or looked at as old fashioned or prude.

" I think that the best definition of modesty is having an internal definition of self. When you know who you are and you're happy about it, you don't really have a need to show your body to strangers, or give yourself physically to people that don't care about you. The external signs of what we call modesty- not bragging, not showing off your body too much- those are really the signifiers of modesty, not modesty itself. Real modesty flows inside and out." -Wendy Shalit

Bethany put together one of the best outfits I have seen all week. She had a real bohemian vibe going on with her slouchy tank, maxi skirt, and long necklace. My favorite part was the piece of lace that she tied around her waist!

I have really been focusing on this essence of this phrase this past week and I thought I would share. If you are finding your worth in your busy-ness, take the time to talk to the Lord about how He wants you to spend your time. Remember that rest is a form of worship.

This is just true.

Cole is sporting some handcrafted Japanese inspired pajama bottoms, and a camo t-shirt all on top of a 70's inspired floral chair. This just goes to show if you have confidence in yourself you can pull of ANYTHING!
